Plum Pickles

Bing bong.

Suddenly the doorbell rang so I stand up and walked up to the door.

It was the owner of my apartment. She had a paper bag. She said’’ Good evening. I want you to give this plum pickle of my thanks. It tastes good so I liked it.’’ I felt her kindness so I was happy.

Several days ago I gave her rice cracker. (Grilled after being seasoned with soy sauce) My mother sent it to me to give her because I could live peacefully my freshman life. Last March I started live alone in this apartment. One year has passed.

Opened the box, there were so many plum pickles! Maybe I can’t eat all of them so I want to share it with my neighborhood friends :)

Fresh trial

Several days before, I bought three books. These are primers about Chinese, Korean and German. I hit upon a good idea; start the study of these languages. I have studied English and Spanish in university so this trial is fresh for me :)

Why I thought of this idea? That’s why my spring vacation experience; I went to New Zealand, joined eco volunteer and met nice volunteer members. They are from England, Hong Kong, German and Korea. During volunteer, we lived together and taught our own language each other! I tried to memorize easy phrase for example Good morning or what is this? and so on. It was really exciting because I could learn new languages from native speakers :) These pronunciations sound rhythmic sense I felt so I liked it!

If I can speak German when travel around Europe? If I can speak Korean and Chinese when I talk to friends from Korea and China? This image serves as a stimulus for my study.

New Zealand

I stayed in New Zealand from February 21 to March 13. I joined eco volunteer project and travel around north land with my friends. This experience was really hard but special for me because I realize my English skill is so bad to communicate with people so I eager to speak English better. I hope that it become my power and grow up my spilt.

*Spring Vacation*

Today this semester test finished so I’m really happy! I hope I can get all credits especially required credits.

Looking back my university life, most of classes have some points which were attracted me. This is natural things because I’m interested in my department and classes are related to my interest. But I think it is good environment for study.

I’m getting along well with my friends who met in this year. I’m really glad to meet a lot of nice friends and seniors (they are member of our English club.) Of course this AGU member is nice and I feel them like a family. When I talk them, I often feel good power or motivation; it is a stimulus for me.

So I must say to everyone and everything ‘’Thank you my freshman life.’’ :)

Spring vacation begins from tomorrow. :) I want to play much, go out many places and become attractive person, who has much deep knowledge, tender heart, can sympathize with a person.

Have a special spring vacation!

I went to two universities.

This weekend I went to two universities; Weseda University and Kogakuin University.
Because I join AEI so take part in these discussions in English, it was so exciting!

In Waseda University, I and freshman who was same table gave a presentation of our group products which wake us up easily. This is really serious problem for me because I sometimes overslept recently. Other team’s presentation was wonderful so he and I felt regrettable but we tried our best.

In Kougakuin University, it holds Christmas party! All participants bring present and exchange. This picture is present I got from someone. It’s an ornament of glass and I really liked it!

I’m so satisfied to talk so many unknown universities students. I love communicate with so many people. I don’t know why I really enjoy discussion very much but I want to meet a lot of people and have to do with good relationship :)

Hi everyone! How are you doing? Peter is fine.

This weekend, November 22 to 24, I went to Shibuya everyday! That’s why for my new part time job and a moot United Nation.

My job is serve dishes and drinks, clean tables and accept orders by customers and so on. It was hard for me but I enjoyed this work especially I love clean dishes and wine glasses, if I do this I feel refreshing. :)

There are two types of restaurants in there; one is a hull-course meal and other is a kind of bar. Many workers can work so smooth so I want to work efficiently as soon as possible.

This board was really delicious! I worked long time so was tired, but I ate meals and recovered my spirits. :)

November 24 I went to the United Nations University. In fact this university is in front of Aoyama Gakuin University so I have seen it several times so far and I wanted to enter in it. One of my little dreams came true!

I took part in a moot United Nation and this topic is humanitarian intervention by United Nation. Three professors told their ideas of this topic it was so interesting and complicate. Is it OK to do humanitarian intervention? Why the UN does it for other country; not related to own country? What borders of it decide success or failure and who decide it? I thought about it for the first time.

This experience made me realize keenly how important acquire and broaden knowledge once more. If I always think or study about some topic I can tell my idea or opinion. If I don’t do this I have no idea so I can’t discuss with others. I need to study more and more:)

AEI

From November 1 to 3 I was spending busy but exciting time because Aoyama festival was holding these three days.

Our club set up a refreshment stand we sold frankfurter and potato rice cake; it is in chesses and really delicious :) Many people bought those so we became happy.

I’m member of Aoyama English Institute (AEI). Our club main activity is participating in discussion. We talk to other university students in English at these discussions. It is really exciting! I love talking with unknown people and become friends. I took part in only twice so I’m going to participate more and more :)

Recently my friend and I are planning to change AEI more active club so I’m nervous a little. But I try my best.
